Earth Day Project Hosted by TRINITY Employees on April 20, 2018
Reel in and Recycle! Monofilament Recovery and Recycling Program
Shalimar, Florida, April 9, 2018– Trinity Employees will be installing several Monofilament Recovery and Recycling Program (MRRP) bins at the Shalimar Bridge for Earth Day on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 4:00 pm.
The Monofilament Recovery and Recycling Program (MRRP) is an innovative statewide project dedicated to reducing the environmental damage caused by discarded fishing line. MRRP aims to educate the public on the problems caused by monofilament line left in the environment, encourage recycling through a network of line recycling bins and drop‐off locations, and help citizens host volunteer monofilament line cleanup events.
Please join us on April 20, 2018 at the Shalimar Bridge at 4:00 pm. There is a lack of bins in this area and we want to get the word out for more bin placement. Trinity employees will be donating their personal time to empty the bins monthly. Find out more about bin locations here.
