Environmental Support for Interim Removal Action

TRINITY was subcontracted by MMG-TLI JV to provide environmental support for design and implementation of an Interim Removal Action (IRA) at Munitions Response Site(MRS),Old EOD Range (XU-002) at Hurlburt Field, Florida. The IRA was performed in support of the U.S. Air Force Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP), which addresses issues related to munitions and explosives of concern (MEC) and munitions constituents (MC) associated with MRSs. It also addressed related potential contaminants of concern on range areas no longer active, with the goal of making MRSs safe for reuse, protecting human health and the environment in the process. The site was used during the 1950s and 1960s by the Air Force as a trench and fill munitions disposal site.

TRINITY provided:

  • Work Plan Support (SAP, QAPP, and SSHP)
  • Negotiated ERP, UMAM, and SWPPP concerns with Hurlburt, USFWS, and USACE
  • Wetland Delineation
  • Management of Surveying and Land Clearing
  • Design and Implementation of Stormwater Management BMPs
  • Design and Implementation of Soil Sampling Plan Using Incremental Sampling Method
  • Design and Implementation of Site Restoration
  • Managed Groundwater Issues
